Supervisory Interests

I have broad supervisory interests aligned with my current and past research in thermofluids and propulsion systems development mainly. Current research is centred around multiphase thermal systems such as heat pipes for space and ground applications. Examples of supervisions have been related to electric vehicle battery thermal management, pulsating heat pipes in micro and hyper gravity conditions, bottom cycle waste heat recovery for heavy duty IC engine applications and flow transportation and aggregation of multi species compounds for automotive leak repair application. Other past research interests have been in combustion development of IC engines via innovative 2-4 stroke cycle changes or ultra high pressure common rail fuel injection systems, secondary flow systems of gas turbines and development of aero-engines. Finally, I have some interests in thermofluids laboratory techniques such as laser based optical diagnositcs, infrared thermometry and other flow and heat transfer characterisation techniques.
