This project is inscribed in the BRITE project stream managed by Plus X Brighton and co-funded by the EU. The goal of this study was to advise on the aerodynamics aspects of measurement related to the “Aerohead” pitot-based bicycle sensor apparatus developed by Body Rocket ltd. This study was divided in two main parts: -The first part was about investigating rider and device position effects on the overall flow and pressure fronts of a moving bicycle via 2-dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. -The second part was related to the pitot sensor aerodynamics behaviour and calibration through experimental tests of the device in a wind tunnel.
