Abstract
An invited reflection on the 2017 events that marked the end of the 23 year moratorium on why the K Foundation (a reincarnation of the rock band KLF, principally Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty) burned a million pounds. The three day participatory event, Welcome to the Dark Ages, devised and choreographed by Drummond and Cauty, with the support of artist Tom James, director Daisy Campbell and others, marked the launch of a Faber novel by Drummond and Cauty, entitled 2023, and the launch of a new project, Mumufication. The article describes my personal contributions to the event.
