This evidence review seeks to establish what is currently known about the experience of becoming and being a teacher in the Further Education sector in England, in the second and third decades of the twenty-first century.

It is intended that the outcomes of the review will helpfully inform the development of both policy and future research in this area, with the aim of enhancing the recruitment and retention of FET teachers, and the prospects of a thriving and sustainable FET teaching workforce of the future.
