Abstract
A 1000-word summary of a small-scale research project on the afterlife of clothing in house clearances in the UK, conducted in 2019 and published as a peer-reviewed journal article in 2022.
The article summarises and reflects on the research methodology and findings for Wardrobe Stories, a blog hosted by Clothing Research department at Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway. The blog is a continuation of the book Opening up the Wardrobe, edited by Kate Fletcher and Ingun Grimstad Klepp in 2017. The book is a collection of 50 methods for opening up wardrobes and their content. To continue the work of collecting approaches to wardrobe studies, the research project CHANGE, led by Klepp, builds a new collection of stories.
