Research interests
I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Brighton. My research is focused on the critical social scientific analysis of sports mega-events. This involves using sports mega-events as a social context for understanding wider social issues and changes, such as prejudice, racism, attitudes and globalization. My thesis specifically explores English football fans' experiences of Muslims and Islam in the context of the 2022 FIFA Men's World Cup.
