Martin Bailey's research interests are predominantly in the biomechanics of injury, but also in the interplay of biomechanics with the physiology of fatigue through the use of electromyography.
I would be pleased to supervise students in the biomechanics of sport, exercise or occupational injury. Linked to this I have interests in the biomechanics of fatigue and its interplay with the physiology of fatigue through the use of electromyography.
Martin became one of the deputy heads of the school of Sport and Service Management in September 2016. Martins specific role is as Division of Sport Leader. This role provides an overarching curriculum and operational leadership of the courses within the sport division, which incorporates incorporates undergraduate, MSc and MRes courses within Nutrition, Sport and Exercise Science, Sport Coaching, Physical Education, Sport Studies and Sport Business Management.
