Supervisory Interests

I am interested in supervising topics in large scale data processing in the context of software components framework.

Also, designing secure computer systems, machine learning,  transaction management in distributed computing and software engineerinng project management  are my supervisory interests. 

 

Approach to teaching

I am a senior lecturer at the School of Compuring, Engineering and Mathematics, University of Brighton, UK. With more than 20 years of teaching experience in Higher Education, my teaching has spanned the undegraduate students at each level and the postgraduate computing courses. My main teaching subjects are programming, databases, operating systems  and enterprise middleware for processing of large data sets. I am a course leader for a number of cumputing science and software enginerring courses, at the undegraduate and postgraduate levels. I am deeply involved in leading the design and development of new courses and also organising and improving the students' learning  experience  in the existing courses.
