Personal profile

Research interests

Research Interests:

I am broadly interested in Value-added HR functions, and the development of new/innovative people management practices in SMEs, which create critical funnel for strategy formulation, implementation and evaluation. As such, I am interested in strategic human resource (HRM) practices and exploring the nexus between competitive strategies and human resource management, from a context-specific perspective. In addition, my current research projects include exploring the role of HR professionals in CSR and workplace inclusion initiatives in a variety of organisations in Africa (and Nigeria in particular). I am very attentive to the implication of ethnic and tribal affiliations in people management practices as potential barriers to the development of HR value-added function in emerging economies context. Potentially, my interest will extend to sustainable HRM architecture in  post-covid 19 pandemic times.

Supervisory Interests:

I will be delighted to supervise students conducting studies in Human Resource Management, Corporate social responsibility and competitive strategies.
