I like to ensure that students leave taught sessions with a clear understanding of the content that has been delivered. This is achieved through the utilisation of a range of technologies, simulation and ultimately, providing students with the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification around a subject.
My research interests are based around my ongoing Professional Doctorate in Education. Using qualitative methodology, I am exploring the perceptions of the purpose of practice placements for student nurses.
I hope to be able to review the way in which we as a school currently prepare students for entering the clinical setting for the first time, with an aim to ensuring that students can begin learning in practice from the earliest opportunity.
