    Abstract

Jane Melvin’s work in this arena is changing this. Chapter 12 makes engaging connections to Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory to consider the relationship between young people’s varied utilization of digital spaces, and their learning and development. This chapter offers insightful connections between digital youth work and other forms of practice; it encourages practitioners to engage critically and think ethically about work in these spaces.
