    Abstract

The poster is deeply rooted in democratic practice – being the vehicle of choice for agitation and protest for centuries. This small poster festival by Studio245 features the work of 130 students along a 200-metre stretch of hoarding in Brighton, UK, as part of a redevelopment of the area with U+I. Individual posters are combined to make rudimentary letterforms as shown opposite (letter A), which when produced en masse creates a series of statements.
