Abstract

In a digital age, is drawing still a valid process, when one can use Adobe shape, illustrator on one’s mobile phone to capture visual research? Is there any point in actually teaching drawing and should students find out for themselves if they need to? Having spent 30 years devoted to the teaching of drawing in an FE environment, Phil Tyler will discuss some of his findings, thoughts and approaches to this very tricky and allusive subject.
