Abstract
The exhibition investigates the tension that exists between the photographic and the documentary; between visual interpretation and political activism; between contemplation, rage and amazement. In recent decades, Chilean photography has expanded its horizon, after the necessary work it assumed from the reportage and denunciation, re-emerging the landscape as one of its focuses of attention. . A body raisonné of photographic images that record, allude to or operate in productive landscapes in Chile in a contemporary context (2000-2020) is gathered here. With productive landscapes, the places represented from the practices of visuality are designated, where the territory is strongly adapted, confronted, degraded, secured or partially simulated or mitigated from the current modes of production.
