Abstract
For over 30 years leading British Interior Designer Ben Kelly has created the alternative to mainstream high street interior space. He is known for the industrial look that he developed in the 1980s in the infamous Hacienda Club and Dry Bar in Manchester. In this article the authors explore Kelly’s work and what atmosphere means in relation to the interior and its occupation within these spaces.
