Abstract

Recognised as one of the leading graphic designers of the early twentieth century, Julius Klinger (1876-1942) helped shape modern commercial visual culture through his innovative posters, illustrations, and mass promotional campaigns. This book traces Klinger's career from Vienna to Berlin, where he built his reputation, and his later work in 1920s and 30s Vienna.
