Abstract

Home Ground-Telling Tales was a collaborative undertaking with a group of young people aged 12-17, on the edges of the Criminal Justice System, who participate in programmes that Catch 22/Northampton, offer. The central concern was to engage these marginalised young people in the process of a creative exploration of their immediate environment, enabling them to articulate their life experience, and to value themselves, through developing and making short films; About The Choices We Make is one of these films, as is insideOUT. Denis and the group worked with minimal equipment, and on a tight time/financial budget.
