Abstract

The static and dynamic magnetic and magnetoelastic properties of epoxy-bonded TbFe2 were investigated as functions of bias field, frequency and AC drive field. The peak in d33 vs. bias field was shifted to higher bias field. A small negative ΔE effect was observed in field <80 kA/m. Both d33 and k33 were much lower, compared with bulk Terfenol-D or its composites.
