Abstract

Nomads is Bside Books first volume of Xavier Ribas' series of works Concrete Geographies, which explore the politics of space as they become apparent in specific sites and locations. In NomadsXavier Ribas documents the scars left visible on the ground of an empty plot in his home city of Barcelona as the result of the owners' strategy to evict a Gypsy community that was living there. The next Bside Books volume, to be released in 2013, is Invisible Structures numbers 1 and 2.
