Abstract

Cafe Delight is the title of a suite of looped stop-frame animations of paint undergoing a range of manipulations on a mirrored glass surface.

Bibliographical note

A work from this series was first exhibited at ‘Blink’ animation screening event, Gasworks, London, 3rd August, 2006. Another was shown in the exhibition: ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (Curated by Richard Livingston and Laura White) Fieldgate Gallery, London, 8 September - 1 October 2006. Two further works were included in Stevens’s solo exhibition: ‘Unstable’ at the Permanent Gallery, Brighton, 11th November - 5th December 2006. Another work was included in the exhibition: ‘Visions In the Nunnery’, Bow Arts Trust, London, 18th – 20th May 2007. A further work from the series was exhibited in the exhibition: ‘Encounters With Scale’ (curated by Andrew Cooper and Sarah Sparkes) at the Portman Gallery, London, March 26th – april 4th 2009.
