Abstract
The present invention describes a novel amphiphilic mesoporous heterogeneous acid catalyst produced from agro-based wastes and industrial wastes, the said catalyst providing a surface absorption and desorption characteristics for immiscible liquid components, hence reducing the interphase mass transfer resistance between the two components, thereby providing a high yield for the difficult immiscible liquid-liquid reactions.
