Description

The Brighton Research Innovation Technology Exchange (BRITE) (https://www.briteinnovation.co.uk/) is a business innovation programme led by Plus X Brighton, in partnership with the University of Brighton, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

The project is receiving up to £5m of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF. Established by the European Union ERDF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.

The BRITE project purpose is to provide small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with access to innovation research and development expertise and support, access to specialist facilities and access to a modern co-working space in order to foster innovation and support business growth.

CENTRIM is responsible for the design, delivery and monitoring of the INSPIRE and the Profitnet programmes, made available to BRITE members as part of the BRITE project.

INSPIRE is a 5 month business intervention, comprised of workshops, coaching session and business clinics, supported by a powerful online dedicated web platform (www.inspire-smes.com).

Profitnet is a peer-to-peer programme, designed to enable organisations to learn from each other through a series (12 monthly) of expertly facilitated confidential group action learning set sessions.
