Research interests
The Ph.D. project I am currently working on is on the construction of gender in public discourse, in Algerian textbooks more specifically. I am interested in multilingual contexts, and the role that linguistic variable plays in the construction of ideology. In my current research, I use CDA to analyze Arabic, French and English textbooks used currently in Algerian schools, I focus on the cross-linguistic changes that the concept of gender goes through and what each language adds to it.
