Peer-reviewed conference paper exploring attitudes to children as cultural producers, with particular reference to children's photography workshops, in the context of debates about children's liberation in Britain and USA in the 1970s. The conference, Children and Youth Speaking Up and Speaking Out, hosted by the Children's History Society.
