Abstract
The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning through Design (CETLD) funded 40 research projects. These set out to explore innovative ways of developing educational resources and sharing the expertise between HE and collections-based partners for the benefit of students, teachers and institutions. An additional research study was commissioned from an outsider perspective to examine themes and issues arising from these projects. This article discusses the research approach developed for this project.
