Abstract
This is a much more traditional build in many respects. Conventional approach to body construction with tried and tested fan bracing for the top. Neck is laminated using Sapele & Beech from thin offcuts with the headstock fingerjointed into place.
The Sapele sides were reluctant to bend and I ended up having to take them down to closer to 1mm thick to prevent splitting at some of the tighter joints. As a result the body is very light and potentially could be quite fragile. It is much louder than Ukelele One, my assumption is that this is due to the top construction and bracing.
