Abstract

An online organ donation and transplant (ODT) intervention was co-produced by researchers and students (event champions, EC), who were given training in facilitating safe and dynamic discussions. The student-led session provided an educational foundation to support the thought process of ODT decisions made by undergraduate (UG) student participants. The session was interactive and created a safe space to share ideas. The intervention showed success in promoting the communication of an informed choice to their families, while engaging young people and addressing misconceptions, such as that organ donation occurs later in life. Moving forward the co-production research team will continue working together and co-present ideas in upcoming conferences.
