Abstract
In this work in progress, we elucidate further progress using a low-tech and frugal design for offline tracking of gait on a treadmill using a single dorsally-situated GoPro video camera recording at 240 fps. Our participants wore brightly coloured athletic shoes (one red, one green) and three LEDs on their back. This method can derive a range of variability measures such as stance time asymmetry and step time variability; these are typically unavailable without a costly gait lab work up. This approach may aid in teasing apart subtle gait changes linked to joint hypermobility and its effects on gait.
