Research output: Non-textual outputDigital or Visual Products

Abstract

A piece of practice based research, The Odditorium is a spoken word podcast, the first season of which ran to 17 episodes. Produced and distributed in Brighton, hosted by Dr David Bramwell, it features speakers, including academics, experts and practitioners, on a rich variety of topics. The intention of the work is to present a diverse range of scholarly subjects to a heterogeneous audience. This work also serves as model of how audiences use social and web media to engage with audio products. This ties into ideas of fandom and fan identity, and how audiences become increasingly engaged with digital media products.
