Abstract
This chapter explores the future of online youth work, and how the future lies in youth workers’ ability to work with young people to manage and develop their online and digital lives, and for young people to contribute to decisions about which digital tools, spaces and places to use. Using research from recent doctoral studies, a model to scaffold youth work in digital spaces and places is proposed, alongside other groundrules for engagement.
