The Cloud of Unknowing: the Momentum series of Alejandro Guijarro

Critical text on a series of pictures by Alejandro Guijarro in which the seemingly simple subject-matter of partially erased blackboards proves rich in metaphorical readings. The publisher, Café Royal Books, one of the success stories in the recent boom in photobook publishing, normally publishes no text in this series of small collections of photographs. It was a compliment to make an exception in using Hodgson's text which had previously appeared on his own blog.
