Abstract

Telematic Vision is a live telepresence video installation, linking two separate MoCAUP exhibition halls. The users sit on two separate sofas to watch a "TV" image of themselves mixed together with the users on the other sofa, and so become the voyeurs of their own "TV" spectacle.

For Topologies of the Real: Techne Shenzhen 2023, ZKM Art in Motion Exhibition at CAFA / Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning (MoCAUP), Shenzhen, China, opening 1 May 2023, to 23 July 2023

The exhibition examines various trajectories of how artistic imagination has challenged and redefined the notion of reality under the technological construct of spacetime manifestly accelerated since the mid-twentieth century and how such artistic endeavours have brought to light the political, economic, and cultural conundrums and creative potentialities implicated by a flattened and instantaneously digital contemporary.
