Abstract

After co-founding the BA Photography course at the University of Brighton 30 years ago (in 1992), Dr. Chris Mullen worked closely with John Vernon Lord and developed practice based MA and Phd research at the University of Brighton, devising innovative models reflecting on how to visualize the research process and ask research questions in visual ways. This attracted Phd students with a studio practice from all over the world.
