Abstract
David King defies simple categorization. Born in 1943 in Isleworth, West London, King’s body of work includes a formative spell at The Sunday Times Magazine, poster designs for the British Anti-Apartheid Movement and the Anti-Nazi League, a series of self- and co-authored books on visual culture and—at the time of his death in 2016—one of the largest collections of Soviet ephemera in the West. King left not one legacy, but many.
