Abstract

As photography as a medium is further admitted into the arena of contemporary art, this projects marks the diminishing and closing of many national photography centres, known for their critical and community commitment. Large colour photographs adorn every biennale now, so we look at the dissonance of painters who use photographs as model and take up some post Benjaminian trails.
