Abstract

Selected exhibition open to British and international artists whose work encounters print. Initiated by Northern Print in partnership with culture10, Northern Print Biennale is the first major competition and exhibition of contemporary printmaking in the UK for almost 20 years. "displaying the best in contemporary printmaking, selected by a distinguished jury from more than 800 entries received." Stibbon's large woodcut 'Abandoned Whaling Station' was exhibited in the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle on Tyne and won the Friends of the Laing Art Gallery purchase prize. It is now in the Laing permanent collection.
