Abstract
A review of the displays of art nouveau and art deco design at the Musée des Arts décoratifs, Paris. The text discusses how objects of silver and metalwork are used to contribute to the narrative of French modern design from the period 1890-1940 in the context of the new museum displays opened in 2006.
