Abstract
Networks & Collaborations ‘Ours is a brand-new world of all-at-onceness. ‘Time’ has ceased, ‘space’ has vanished. We now live in a global village… a simultaneous happening.’
Marshall McLuhan
Collaboration
This is the era of collaboration, with Turner Prize winning collective Assemble, the blurring of practice and group activity is evident all around us. From online communities sharing their illustrations to collectives of artisans using ‘making’ as an antidote to the all-pervasive ‘world wide web’, we are connected like never before. In one sense we are always collaborating through the digital tools used to make work, software developers and social media that disseminate our images.
