Abstract

A short film/ music video for the artist Minute Taker. Set across two timelines 1918 - 1981, we find an elderly man dying in hospital. In his last moments we go inside his head to see him retrace his first love, an Officer in his first WW1 camp. An unrequited kiss is played out between the two men as a memory, but the returning soldier takes the opportunity to re write history and kiss the man of his dreams. His wife watches over his dying body as he's led into the afterlife by the ghost of the man he first loved but never dared to kiss.

The projects was Arts Council funded and screened as part of a tour of the artist's album Wolf Hours. The album was a queer themed presentation of gay men through time. This is the second film I made from Minute Taker, it was released directly onto Youtube in 2021 - it was previously accepted into the BFI Flare festival the year of the pandemic, unfortunately all of the music video and short film content was cut due to the online nature of the festival that year.
