Abstract

The second of three documentary films on the creation of the large scale textile artwork Keiskamma Guernica (2010) made by the Keiskamma Art Project in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The makers discuss the motifs and symbols used in the Keiskamma Guernica. The artwork communicates a complex range of emotions surrounding the witnessing and experiencing of pain and suffering as a consequence of the HIV and AIDS epidemic.
