Abstract

INTERVIEW LEON GOLUB NYC 2003 This interview was made with Leon Golub in his studio apartment at La Guardia Place in New York, April 2003. It was normal when visiting both Leon Golub and Nancy Spero to have several conversations across the studio and living area, of both intellectual and domestic import. Nancy was as present in this interview as she was on all the other times I visited them. As I recall there were arrangements for the evening being made while I was setting up, which led Leon in his warm Manhattan voice to use the phrase, “let it go Nancy, let it go”, a sentence that has rung in my ears ever since.
