Abstract

Performance as part of a 12 hour marathon celebrating 100 years of Caberet Voltaire with students Tomika Terry, Barbara Nassisi and Shane Sayers with a musical scrore by student Michael Anderson. A machine was constructed, called the Rodman (Random) Scroll, for the creation of images to be projected in real time from a boxing ring in Central St Martins, Kings Cross. Objects, liquids and text and image elements were used to create a tapestry of collage, projected in real time. During the performance Polaroid images were created and distributed to the crowd, and 'one-off' references of the event. The resulting projection presents a new way of composing and responding to collage in real-time environments.
