Abstract

Gary Stidder and James Wallis consider some of the issues facing teachers of physical education within a 14 – 19 framework and offer some suggestion for inclusive practice. This chapter discusses the opportunities teachers have in guiding all pupils towards nationally accredited courses in physical education, such as examination courses and leadership awards, and considers the implications of this type of approach for teachers and for pupils aged 14-19 within the new vocational diplomas.
