Abstract

Curated by Saturation Point Projects an online editorial and curatorial project for reductive, geometric and systems artists working in the UK.‘In Line’ is an exhibition bringing together the work of nine artists whose distinct practices explore a common territory in quite different ways and mediums including painting, video, installation, wall painting, drawing and kinetic sculpture. Each artist is concerned with the use of line to generate a complex structure or form, bounded by a set of rules that ultimately determine the final work. Bullen’s contribution was three new drawings which employ reductive and systems based drawing strategies to continue his inquiry into drawing as a means of exploring illusionary space, sensory perception, embodied presence and mindful awareness.
