Abstract
Industry 5.0, often referred to as the era of collaboration and human–machine interaction, brings a new perspective when implementing innovative technologies in the supply chain. The study aims to understand the impacts of implementing AI and the human collaboration that involves integration, data security and privacy, cost of implementation, skills gap, resilience or resistance to change along with supply chain transparency and traceability. This study will be a structured literature review based on the 30 Journals and articles from esteemed 3–4-star ABS listing journals. The study will provide a visualization through excel and Power BI for the impactful insights from the literature that emphasizes these challenges. Findings address the impacts of implementing AI and with the collaboration of human cognitive skills, which is an integral part of AI implementation as the transition happens to Industry 5.0. The findings direct toward the holistic approach that involves careful planning, investment in technology and talent, stakeholder engagement, and a willingness to adapt to change in the Industry 5.0 era. Collaboration between industry stakeholders, government agencies, and academia can also play a crucial role in overcoming these challenges and driving innovation in the supply chain. This is an impactful study that will propose solutions that blend in the integral role of human interactions as a symbiosis process for AI implementation, through a more cognitive approach to creating solutions to the key challenges when it comes to new and emerging innovative technologies.
