Abstract
The chapter presents the debate on gendered forms in interactions among speakers on social media and provides a comprehensive overview of what goes wrong and right when discussing gendered language. Drawing on recent events, for example the FIFA Women World Cup, Formato shows how personal and social perspectives are strictly intertwined.
