Abstract
A six-minute documentary, originally produced in French and translated into English, German, Italian, Polish and Spanish, based on the content and argument of Pollen's 2021 book, Nudism in a Cold Climate: The Visual Culture of Naturists in Mid-20th-Century Britain.
Produced and published by Arte, the European culture channel specialising in documentary TV programming, the film is freely available on Arte's online channel and on YouTube. Pollen was an advisor to the director and a featured interviewee; in addition, the feature draws on Pollen's contacts and includes the historical photographs and periodical collections that underpin her book.
