Abstract
The design methods of controllers for constant frequency and variable frequency controlled dc-dc converters are presented in this paper. Single-loop and multi-loop controllers for pulse-width-modulated (PWM) converters are briefly reviewed and the suitability of these methods for variable frequency controlled quasi-resonant converters (QRCs) are investigated. A control method for QRC is proposed, designed and implemented.
