Abstract
This is a living report on the aims, activities and outcomes of the Digital Skills in Arts and Humanities (DISKAH) Network. The DISKAH Network was established in 2024 with funding received through the UKRI Digital Research Infrastructure Programme (Grant No. APP4595).
The Network brought together several AHRC-funded projects that piloted initiatives to address the digital skills gap for Digital Research Infrastructures in the Arts and Humanities (A&H) research community.
The DISKAH Network aims to widen uptake of the UK Research and Innovation Digital Research Infrastructure amongst Arts and Humanities researchers through capacity-building to foster innovation and collaboration. To this end, DISKAH focuses on building capacity and eliciting use-cases for A&H research through a fellowship programme to demonstrate the capabilities and opportunities afforded by computationally intensive and data-intensive methods. Also, DISKAH places equality, diversity, and inclusion at the core of its activity design.
The report describes the implementation of the DISKAH Network. This includes the implementation of a capacity-building programme, the DISKAH Fellowship programme, through which skills and data-intensive use-cases for DRI in the Arts and Humanities were generated. The dissemination of the use-cases and materials developed during the fellowships, through activities such as workshops, webinars, and hackathons, promoted the uptake of DRI across the Arts and Humanities Community.
This document will continue to be updated till the end of the DISKAH activities and programme in spring 2027.
