Abstract
The Disabled People’s Archive (DPA) began in 2006 and has evolved into a large, varied, and complex collection, covering the history of disabled people’s self-activity and self-organisation. It has local, national, and international focuses, holding the papers of local organisations from Bristol to Edinburgh, national organisations in the UK, the USA, Spain and Sweden, and a vast series of papers and journals from the Disabled People’s International (DPI). Since 2019, the DPA has been based at Manchester Central Library.
